“Culture is a set of beliefs made visible.” – Herman Bavinck

Beyond our written statements, what we truly believe and value will show itself in our actions, especially our actions towards one another. For the sake of unity, all Northern Arizona Covenant of Churches (NACC) Churches respect and operate within this culture. Obviously no culture can be adequately summed up concisely. However, we believe that the following statements offer insight into the foundational values that have taken shape within the Northern Arizona Covenant of Churches:

Focus on the Essentials

We celebrate the essentials and uniqueness of our faith, rather than speaking to every matter of doctrine or teaching.
“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity.”

Demonstrate Mutual Respect

We will strive to speak, embody, and express genuine love and value for one another.
John 13:34-35

Advance Christ’s Kingdom

We are committed to increasing the Kingdom of God in Christ by a continual proclamation of the Gospel, prayer, fasting, and worship.
Matthew 6:10; Acts 2:42-47

Love our Neighbors

We are intentional in our relationships, sacrificial in our service, and devoted to the communities in Northern Arizona.
Mark 12:30-31
